Menopause and Perimenopause Support
Menopause can affect sleep, mood, energy and overall wellbeing, and it doesn’t always feel straightforward. These appointments give you time to talk through symptoms and develop a personalised plan that suits your needs.
Initial consultations are 30 minutes, with follow-up appointments as required. Consultations are available face-to-face or virtually by phone or video if you’re unable to attend in person.
Gynaecology Care
We provide assessment and management of:
- Heavy or irregular periods
- Endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain
- Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)
- Pelvic prolapse
- Urinary incontinence and overactive bladder
- Lichen sclerosus and vulval discomfort
Appointments allow time for careful review and discussion of treatment options.
Contraceptive and Minor Procedures
We offer:
- Mirena insertion and removal
- Jadelle insertion and removal
These procedures are performed in clinic with appropriate follow-up care.

Initial consultation (30 minutes)
- Enrolled patients – $145
- Casual patients – $240
Follow-up consultation (15 minutes)
The clinic runs every Tuesday at our main site on Fifth Avenue.
About Dr Diana Ford
Dr Diana Ford began her medical career at Tauranga Hospital in 2008, including two years working in obstetrics and gynaecology. It was during this time that she chose to focus her work on women’s health, recognising the importance of dedicated, thoughtful care in what can often feel like a very personal and vulnerable space.
She joined Fifth Avenue Family Practice in 2014 and has continued to support women with both common and more complex gynaecological concerns.
