After a year of working at Fifth Ave, I have found it a pleasant reprieve from my time at the hospital and will be staying on to continue supporting our patients.
I am tied to the Tauranga area after initially growing up in Matua, followed by schooling at Ōtūmoetai intermediate and Ōtūmoetai College.
I started my medical training at the University of Otago in Dunedin and then rapidly started trekking further north to chase the sunshine with two years in Wellington, one in Hawkes Bay and then returning home to Tauranga. My junior doctor years were spent at Tauranga Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne.
I am passionate about helping patients and working through complex situations. In my spare time, when I’m not tinkering with old cars, I’m spending time with family on their kiwifruit orchard in Te Puna. I also do my best to get up Mauao at least once a week when the traffic allows.
I look forward to continuing at Fifth Ave and hope to meet and work with many more of our great people in the future.
