Julia has been nursing for more than 33 years mostly in acute hospital settings in NZ and overseas. In 2009 she moved from Auckland returning to the BOP where she grew up, and joined 5th Avenue as a practice nurse. She completed a Masters in Nursing degree 2017 and has been working as a Nurse Practitioner since February 2018. Julia has a special interest in Long-term condition management and particularly respiratory illness. She runs the Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) programme at 5th Avenue, and has developed programmes for Asthma, Heart Failure, Cardiovascular disease and Gout.
Julia is a member of our Health Care Homes team and He Waka Eke Noa – 5th Ave Māori Health Group.
Julia enjoys travelling both within NZ and overseas, walking and spending time at the beach with her family.
