Accessibility services remove barriers to healthcare

Fifth Avenue Family Practice is committed to removing barriers to healthcare, including offering accessibility services to help all patients get the care they need.

For those who speak in their native language, we offer Decypher — a free interpreting and translation service available in more than 60 languages.

Organising this service is simple. When booking your next appointment, just let our friendly reception team know if you would like an interpreter.

We’ll ask your preferred language and whether you have a gender preference for your interpreter. We’ll then take care of the arrangements to ensure you feel comfortable, supported, and understood during your consultation.

We also provide iSign — a free service offering professional and confidential New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) interpreting.

This ensures clear and effective communication between deaf and hearing people. If you would like to use iSign, simply let our reception team know when booking your appointment, and we’ll organise the service for you.
